Recycling Curbside Pick-up
IMPORTANT RECYCLING UPDATE DURING COVID-19 OUTBREAK
Curbside pick-up recycling services for Delburne are provided by Environmental 360 Solutions. In March they created a COVID-19 Community Recycling Action Plan. The pandemic plan was implemented to temporarily divert recyclable items to the landfill because of a cause for concern about COVID-19 contamination.
Starting on July 6th, recyclable items will no longer go to the landfill. This means that items put out for the Friday, July 17th curbside recycling pick-up will be properly sorted and prepared for future use as recycled material.
Delburne's recycling curbside pick-up is every other Friday.
The recycling pick-up schedule is listed on our events calendar at the link below:
Please have materials out for pick-up by 7:00 am on collection day.
Items must be in a bin/container or in clear plastic bags. Please bundle or tie loose cardboard. Place light items at the bottom of a bin. Put paper items in a tied bag so they don't blow out.
We are out of recycling boxes at the Village office. If your recycling box is lost or stolen, please use a cardboard box or portable storage container. Recycling boxes can also be purchased at hardware and home renovation stores.
Please Note: The recycling company will only pick up recycling that is visible on the street. They will NOT open permanent garbage boxes to look for recyclable materials. To ensure that your recycling is picked up, please have it outside of your permanent garbage box.
If your recycling was not picked up, please contact the Delburne Municipal office as soon as possible so that we can inform our Recycling contractor.
