
Delburne Summer Events & Festivals Cancelled
Friday, May 1, 2020 – At the Tuesday, April 28th Delburne Council Meeting, a motion was made to have the Delburne Community Hall remain closed until the end of August as per the Province of Alberta’s COVID-19 Prevention Public Health Orders.
With the Province extending the Public Health Order on mass gatherings until the end of August, all summer events and festivals in Delburne have been cancelled.
These events include:
· Village Wide Garage Sale
· Annual Shine & Show
· Village of Delburne Charity Golf Tournament
· July 1st Canada Day Celebrations
During this time the restriction remains at no gathering of more than 15 people allowed in one indoor or outdoor location. Groups of 15 or fewer are still required to maintain a physical distance of 2 metres from one another.
On Thursday, April 30th, Premier Jason Kenney announced a phased relaunch strategy with Stage 1 beginning as early as May 14th.
