Garbage Container Height Restrictions
May 2, 2022
It has come to our attention from e360s, the waste collection contractor, that they will not be collecting garbage out of tall containers due to the difficulty of manually lifting bags out of them. With big containers, the workers must tip and dump the container on the ground to reach the bags which often breaks the lids.
Over 400 properties put out an average of 3 bags each, which weighs approximately 60 lbs in total. This amount equals to over 24,000 lbs being lifted by the e360s crew each collection day.
Pictured above is an example of a 43" tall x 22" wide container compared to an average size 30" can.
We have been informed by e360s that in two weeks, May 16th, they will no longer be taking garbage bags out of the tall containers. Residents must use a container that is 30 - 36" in height and no heavier than 50 lbs.
Just a reminder to please put garbage in a bag and tie it closed as loose garbage will not be collected. Residents are responsible for cleaning up any loose garbage. Please help keep the community clean. Thank you!
