Voter Eligibility and Identification Requirements
You are eligible to vote if you:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Are a Canadian citizen
- Reside in Delburne
Identification
Registration for the Alberta Permanent Electors Register is now closed. Voters who are not registered or need to update their address will need to register in person at the voting station.
Option 1: If you are on the Alberta Permanent Electors Register
If your name appears on the Alberta Permanent Electors Register, you will need one piece of government issued identification that contains a photograph such as a driver's license, Canadian passport, or Alberta Identification Card.
Option 2: If you are not on the Alberta Permanent Electors Register
If you are not on the Permanent Electors Register, you must fill out Form 13 - Elector Register at the voting station, and provide:
- One piece of identification issued by the government that contains your photograph with your name and address.
OR
- One piece of identification from the list below that contains your name and current address.
OR
- Vouching: One piece of identification from the list below that contains your name and you have an eligible elector to vouch your address. Form 14 - Statement of Voucher will need to be completed.
- The person vouching must be eligible to vote, have acceptable identification, be listed on the Permanent Elector Register, and fills out Form 14 - Statement of Voucher at the voting station.
- Form 14 - Statement of voucher sets out that the voucher knows the person, knows that the person resides at the address indicated on the statement, and has not been vouched for themselves.
- A voucher may only vouch for more than one person, if the people they are vouching for live in the same residence.
- Scrutineers are prohibited from vouching.

The following are acceptable forms of identification at a voting station, if they include your full name and current address.

- Government Issued Cheque or Cheque Stub
- Income Tax Assessment
- Letter from a Public Curator, Guardian, or Trustee
