Village Office Opens to the Public on April 6th

March 26, 2021
The Village of Delburne municipal office opens to the public on Tuesday, April 6th. The Village office was closed back in November 2020 when the Government of Alberta enacted stronger public health measures to protect the health system and slow the spread of COVID-19. As part of the enhanced measures, the Province made it mandatory to work from home unless the employer required the employee’s physical presence to operate effectively. Since staff were unable to perform duties from home, Council’s solution was to close the doors to the public but still have administration work inside the municipal office.
When the office opens on Tuesday, April 6th, COVID-19 prevention measures will be in place. Wearing masks will be mandatory and sanitizer will be available at the front desk. There will be a capacity limit of two members of the public at a time. If the office door is locked during regular business hours it means that there are already two people being assisted and to please wait outside until someone leaves. Staff look forward to serving our community members in-person once again.
